B A D E X E C U T I V E

Thanks to artist Kim Dingle for asking questions that prompt this revival of this site.

I am currently working on a project called BADEXECUTIVE that features a very large suit coat and a red tie. The metaphor is not obscure and I am unapologetic.

Ms Dingle suggested making a maquette. Currently, I will complete a one inch to one foot scale model of the piece.

This model is of a coat for a very very large man. Over seven feet in height. Over 400 pounds.  The maquette sits in a plexiglas vitrine 8x4x4 inches.

The Wax Moth is an insect that occurs in nature. Its primary diet consists of bees wax and honey and other natural stuff.

The goal of this installation is to metaphorically  observe the decline of the 47th U.S. president (Bad Executive) from the initial date of introducing the wax worm larvae into the maquett. We then count down to the close of voting in the national election(If there is one!??)in California on November 7, 2028.

Ms Dingle's question and suggestion are the reason for this page and next steps. Kim asked what a 'wax worm' is. This is a brief primer. //

Mr. Science here..
Thanks for asking..
In the world of insects, the 'wax worm' is a form of larva that goes through stages of life from egg to larva to pupa to moth.  The adult moths, as in nature, mate. The female lays eggs and the cycle continues.
Why? Well you may ask.
As with the evolution of all critters on earth, this creature  seems to exist to live on bees wax..
It can be a problem for beekeepers because the larvae consume hives and even the wood that formal hives are made of.
In nature, the wax worm may infest a beehive and create problems for bees in the wild.
For BAD EXECUTIVE.. using materials  that wax worms (wax moth larvae) will consume is a way to metaphorically show the disintegration of our current very BAD EXECUTIVE.. The countdown clock ticking back to  November 7, 2028 (the close of voting in California)  is a sort of prayer that the United States and the world will be done with this BAD EXECUTIVE...
I've now realized that keeping this project going for the next 1,172 days is a bigger commitment that I am probably willing to make!
Your question is perfect, Ms Dingle!
