Safety and calm traffic

For decades, the intersection at Cornell Drive and Adams Street in Adams Hill in South Glendale, California has been a traffic nightmare.

Currently,  residents on the west side of Adams have discovered that another site for a stop sign and crosswalk other than Cornell Drive was arbitrarily selected by City Staff via a local neighborhood group to be vetted as the best place for a traffic calming intersection.

West of Adams advocates for Cornell disagree.

Currently, the City of Glendale has agreed to view Cornell and Adams as an alternative to the other site.

This  blog will be dedicated to  passing information along to the Neighbors West of Adams Street Coalition as we hope that the City will see the value to the hundreds of residents on the west side of Adams for a cross walk and a stop sign on Adams at Cornell.

Thanks to artist Kim Dingle for asking questions that prompt this revival of this site. I am currently working on a project called BADEXECUTIVE that features a very large suit coat and a red tie. The metaphor is not obscure and I am unapologetic. Ms Dingle suggested making a maquette. Currently, I will complete a one inch to one foot scale model of the piece. This model is of a coat for a very very large man. Over seven feet in height. Over 400 pounds.  The maquette sits in a plexiglas vitrine 8x4x4 inches. The Wax Moth is an insect that occurs in nature. Its primary diet consists of bees wax and honey and other natural stuff. The goal of this installation is to metaphorically  observe the decline of the 47th U.S. president (Bad Executive) from the initial date of introducing the wax worm larvae into the maquett. Rain and cold ad cold and rain and dark and darker and leaks

November 14, 2025 Against my better judgement, the cold and dark and rain have me stuck .  Being stuck in the rain and all should be time for contemplation..and after spending the day looking at the gray and having all sorts of First Sentences plodding through my head.. Here I am waiting for the rain to go away. having come later than the guy on Channel Seven  made  me think it would arrive. Cleared one gutter.. more or less.. and still some leaks in this  old abode.. my home.. abode. abide with me. My index finger on the right hand ..from time to time.. points vaguely left or right. Parkinson's?  just a muscle quirk..  Dreams? First with Lee.. in a place like Billy's Deli in Glendale used to be..
